Thasis LLC, a Fort Lauderdale-based media and technology company with extensive experience operating streaming radio stations, has launched RadioForge, an integrated portfolio of software tools and professional services for streaming, independent and small-market broadcasters. It covers station websites and apps, browser-based voice tracking and station control, automation, syndicated programming, production and a locally operated station ownership program. Stations can buy each piece on its own or combine them, and the company says its aim is to replace the patchwork of separate vendors many independents rely on.

Built From Running Stations

RadioForge grew out of the company's work running the Thasis Radio Network, which Thasis says generates roughly one million monthly listening sessions across its music formats. The company says the portfolio grew out of the technologies, operational practices and tools developed and tested through its own radio network.

"Independent stations deserve the tools to compete and sound like major-market broadcasters. We're making advanced technology affordable, creating stronger connections between listeners and on-air personalities, and introducing innovative programming and management capabilities that go well beyond traditional broadcast tools."

— David Moss, Co-Founder and CEO, Thasis LLC

What's in the Portfolio

The portfolio has four software products. WebForge builds station websites and installable, mobile-accessible apps. ControlForge is a browser-based DJ and station management platform with voice tracking, multi-party recording, chat rooms, show preparation and an AI DJ feature. It currently works with StationPlaylist and Live365, with more automation platforms planned. AirForge, the company's next-generation radio automation platform, is currently operating in limited early access, with broader commercial availability planned as development progresses. LocalForge is described below.

Three professional services sit alongside the software. VTForge supplies daily voice tracks recorded by seasoned, professional radio talent. SyndiForge offers syndicated shows and complete formats. ProductionForge handles station imaging, jingles, commercials and voiceover. SupportForge is the ongoing support service for the portfolio, with bug and feature reporting and monitored servers. It is a service rather than a standalone application. StationPlaylist and Live365 are named only as compatible third-party platforms, and RadioForge has no affiliation with, endorsement from or sponsorship by either company.

Pricing and Availability

Pricing varies by offering. ControlForge has a free tier alongside paid plans, while WebForge and the production and syndication services use different pricing structures. Prospective customers can find details and request a demo at radioforge.net.

LocalForge: Reviving Local Radio

LocalForge is a locally operated station ownership program with published pricing: a $2,495 setup and launch fee, $199 per month and a 10% revenue share, which the company says is waived for the first 90 days. The company says its mission is to revive locally owned, community-driven radio stations with local programming and local advertising inventory. Thasis supplies the backend technology, infrastructure and operational support to make local ownership sustainable again.

Ben Barber, Managing Partner at 32One Media, said LocalForge gives local operators a practical starting point for building a community station without assembling technology, programming and support separately, so they can concentrate on their audience.

Where Thasis Operates

Thasis is headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, with operational offices in Madrid, Spain, and the Algarve, Portugal. Its technical infrastructure is separate from those offices: the company says SupportForge is backed by dedicated servers hosted in the United States and the United Kingdom.

The Bigger Picture

Independent stations have traditionally had to piece together separate vendors for automation, voice tracking, production and syndication, each with its own cost and support arrangement. RadioForge is meant as an end-to-end ecosystem that lowers that overhead and gives independent broadcasters capabilities closer to those of a major network.

Adoption will likely depend on how pricing holds up as stations move from free tiers to paid plans, and on how quickly AirForge moves from early access to broader commercial availability. Even so, the opportunity is clear: replacing expensive, fragmented legacy systems with a genuinely integrated platform could help independent and community stations compete on sound and cost.
