BEENOS Group has launched "Buyee One," a new feature on Buyee, its cross-border e-commerce support service for international shoppers operated through consolidated subsidiary tenso, Inc. Announced September 8, 2026, Buyee One consolidates item prices, domestic and international shipping charges, service fees, customs duties, and import taxes into a single upfront payment at checkout, eliminating the two-step payment process that previously required a second charge after items arrived at Buyee's Japanese warehouse.
How the AI Pricing System Works
Buyee One relies on AI paired with shipping records accumulated across years of cross-border e-commerce operations to pre-calculate international shipping costs, customs duties, and import taxes with high accuracy before a customer completes a purchase. Because Buyee ships items ranging from standard new merchandise to one-of-a-kind pieces from flea markets, auctions, and resale marketplaces, rather than standardized mass-market products, the company says its dataset spans a wider range of dimensions, weights, and categories than typical e-commerce shipping data, and is updated continuously through daily transactions.
If actual shipping fees or customs duties exceed the pre-calculated amount shown at checkout, Buyee absorbs the difference rather than billing the customer for the shortfall.
Addressing Cart Abandonment
BEENOS points to cart abandonment data from the Baymard Institute in explaining the feature's rationale: among shoppers who abandon carts for reasons other than simply browsing, 40% cite extra costs like shipping being too high, and 12% cite being unable to see the total order cost upfront. The company frames those figures, combined with recent changes to customs regulations on low-value imports and rising international shipping rates, as the reason cost transparency at checkout has become more important for cross-border shoppers.
Buyee currently ships to approximately 120 countries and regions and serves roughly 6 million global users. BEENOS says it has supported more than 7,000 cross-border e-commerce projects for Japanese businesses and merchants expanding overseas.
Buyee One is launching first in the United States, with target stores beginning with JDirectItems Fleamarket, and both country and store eligibility are planned for sequential expansion. The company notes that combining items into a single package across multiple stores is not currently supported under Buyee One. More information is available at buyee.jp.
