Released on August 4, 2026, TECHMAN Part Two: The Age of Intelligence and Language expands Ricky Melwani's science-fiction techno-thriller series into a larger mystery involving intelligence, communication, medicine, and emerging technology. Rather than centring on a single threat, the novel follows four interconnected storylines that gradually move closer together as its characters encounter events that existing technology cannot easily explain.

A Mystery Even a Brain Chip Can't Solve

At the centre of the story is Aaron Sharma, who was implanted with an extraordinarily advanced brain chip in Part One of the TECHMAN series. The implant gives him computational and analytical capabilities far beyond those of an ordinary human. But Part Two confronts Aaron with something his brain chip cannot simply solve. Entirely new languages begin appearing across interconnected technological systems.

They do not resemble known human languages, and conventional translation technology cannot interpret them. Their structures change as they appear in different technological environments, making the mystery increasingly difficult to understand. More importantly, no one initially knows where they are coming from.

Aaron begins studying the languages for patterns while developing new technology capable of detecting and interpreting structures that existing systems cannot understand. The mystery creates one of the novel's central questions: what happens when humanity encounters a form of communication for which it has no existing language, translator, or frame of reference?

A Second Front in Medicine

While Aaron investigates the unknown languages, another story is developing through his father, Dr. Robert Sharma. Dr. Robert is pushing medical research into new territory with the assistance of EIDOLON and EIDOS, advanced robotic systems supporting his work with bio-artificial cells, neural architecture, and experimental treatment.

One of his cases involves Thomas Ashworth, a terminally ill retired structural engineer whose circumstances force the research into increasingly difficult territory. Ashworth's case raises questions extending beyond conventional treatment and into memory, identity, and the experiences that make an individual unique. As the research develops, the medical storyline begins touching questions that technology alone cannot easily answer.

The Phantom Syndicate

Away from the laboratories and technological mystery, Aaron and his team face a more immediate threat. Their search for the Phantom Syndicate draws them into intelligence gathering, covert operations, and military action as they attempt to locate the organisation and understand the scale of its activities.

This gives Part Two a physical conflict running alongside Aaron's investigation of the unknown languages and Dr. Robert's medical research. But another threat is also developing. Its identity and purpose remain deliberately hidden, gradually adding another layer to events without revealing how it fits into the larger TECHMAN story.

Four Stories Moving Toward Something Larger

Across approximately 183,000 words, TECHMAN Part Two: The Age of Intelligence and Language combines techno-thriller, science fiction, medical technology, espionage, and action while continuing the story established in Part One. Brain chips, robotics, and advanced computing are important parts of the world, but the central mystery is not simply about how powerful technology can become.

It is about what happens when even highly advanced technology encounters something it does not understand. And for Aaron Sharma, possessing one of the world's most advanced brain chips may no longer be enough.

TECHMAN Part Two: The Age of Intelligence and Language is available now through Amazon. More information about the TECHMAN series is available at the official TECHMAN Series website.
